Compatibility comes first
Check both the phone and the provider’s current supported-device information. A setting being visible is not proof that it is provisioned for the line.
The internet link matters
The phone needs reliable Wi-Fi and internet access. Busy shared Wi-Fi, weak reception from the router or limited capacity can reduce call quality.
Moving away from the router
A handover may rely on supported mobile calling and available radio signal. A call can drop when neither connection remains suitable.
Keep travel separate
Read the provider’s overseas Wi-Fi Calling terms. A call to a foreign number while abroad may not be treated as a local domestic call. Confirm before relying on it.
